The Ducorps’ Cockatoo (Cacatua ducorpsii), also known as the Solomons Cockatoo, is a medium-sized white cockatoo endemic to the Solomon Islands. It is prized for its gentle, affectionate, and playful personality, making it one of the more suitable white cockatoos for experienced keepers. It features snowy-white plumage, a prominent crest, and a distinctive pale blue-grey eye-ring. Less noisy than many other cockatoos, Ducorps’ is known for being cuddly, curious, and an excellent mimic when well-socialised.

Key Plumage Features
This medium-sized cockatoo has pure white plumage with a large, expressive crest that it raises frequently. It features a distinctive pale blue-grey eye-ring and a black beak. The underwings and undertail often show a faint yellowish tint. The combination of the white body and blue eye-ring gives it a clean, elegant appearance.
Juveniles have slightly greyer plumage and less developed eye-rings. Ducorps’ Cockatoo is known for being one of the quieter and more affectionate white cockatoos, making it a favourite for keepers seeking a cuddly companion.
