Plumage & Features
The Scaly-naped Amazon is predominantly bright green with a distinctive black scalloped (“scaly”) pattern on the nape and neck. It has a blue crown, red wing speculum, and a broad red band on the tail. The beak is horn-coloured with a dark tip.
